A north Wales businesswoman takes on the role of a ‘Dragon’ this month when she joins a distinguished panel at a luxury Cheshire castle.
Dawn Roberts, Managing Director of Outperform Training, based in Abergele, is one of seven high flying business people taking part in an event based on BBC TV’s successful programme “Dragon’s Den”.
The event, which is being held at Peckforton Castle, Tarporley, near Chester, on Saturday June 16, is being organised by thisladyloves and Peckforton Castle for anyone who runs a small business and wants to pitch their ideas to the panel. Continue reading

A North Wales business has been singled out for success in 2012 by an international chief executive. Outperform Training, based in Abergele, has been selected by Jacqueline Gold, chief executive of Ann Summers and Kickbox to be one of her Women on Wednesday and can now display the WOW logo.
Every week Jacqueline chooses three female run businesses who she believes deserve success in the future. Through twitter she acknowledges their entrepreneurship and achievements.
My ramblings this week are about one of the most enjoyable events I have ever attended and that’s a big statement to make about some of the smallest people.
My work with the employed has highlighted that some of the delegates at my free workshops had unemployed futures ingrained in them from an early age with some owning title of third generation unemployed within their family. I know if I am going to make a difference to the unemployed statistic in North Wales I will have to get ‘em early! Continue reading
Workshops lead to TV appearance: Daily Post 1st June 2011 Business Section
A North Wales businesswoman is appearing on national television next Monday (June 6th) thanks to her latest project. Dawn Roberts, Managing Director of Outperform Services, who specialise in sales campaign management and helping sales teams and individuals to sell more, is currently giving up some of her time to work for free, to help job seekers find employment.
Already several free workshops for the unemployed aimed at ‘selling yourself’ to potential employers have been held in Rhyl and Colwyn Bay and there are plans to hold more throughout North Wales. Now Dawn’s initiative has been picked up by BBC TV’s Panorama and she has been interviewed and filmed for a programme about Rhyl which includes schemes to help unemployed people get back to work.
